Shop-fresh yet beautifully battle-scarred, the EKO Guitars Tero Relic is a great pick for players looking for an electric guitar with a comfortable, played-in feel and looks to match. While the so-called relic finish of the Tero usually only comes with guitars twice its price, EKO have actually managed to keep things nicely affordable here, offering both beginners and veteran players a guitar that has an as-of-yet unfinished story to tell that needs you to write the next couple of chapters!
The Tero Relic: Authentic Sound
EKO have built the Tero using a lightweight, solid paulownia body with an SH pickup configuration. The vintage-style single-coil at the bridge and the humbucker at the neck effortlessly shape a broad range of immediately recognisable sounds. From Texas twang to driving hard-rock tone, this guitar doesn't have to think twice about dishing out great sound. Also, thanks to the special 4+2 design of the headstock, all six strings line up perfectly straight at the nut, enhancing the tuning stability and the overall resonance. All in all, this is a greatly reliable work-horse of an axe designed for all self-respecting guitarists.
