General
The CY Black Satin combines the distinctive, sharply contoured CY body with a modern playing experience. The slim, 42 mm-thick alder body feels comfortable thanks to the generous waist contour and ergonomic elbow cut. The hard maple neck runs through the body, ensuring a direct response and excellent sustain. The EX Thin U-neck profile and deep cutaway also offer plenty of freedom of movement, even in the higher positions. The matt black finish completes the distinctive shape.
CY: distinctive shape and versatile tone
Technically, too, the CY is designed for versatility and control. The Seymour Duncan Rails pickups consist of a JAZZ Rails in the neck position, a Vintage Rails in the middle position and a JB Rails at the bridge. This combination delivers a crisp attack, good definition and a wide range of tones, from tight and powerful to sparkling and dynamic. The 5-way pickup selector switch allows you to switch easily between the different sounds. The Floyd Rose 1000 bridge provides a stable foundation for smooth tremolo use. This makes the CY suitable for both studio and stage use.
