General
The ESP LTD EXL-7 Baritone Black Metal II is an uncompromising 7-string baritone guitar designed for tight, low tunings and modern metal riffs. Thanks to the 27-inch scale length, your low end remains tight and defined, whilst the set-through construction ensures plenty of sustain and smooth access to the higher frets. The body is crafted from mahogany and the 3-piece maple neck features a Thin U profile for a fast, responsive feel. The Makassar ebony fingerboard with a 400 mm radius plays flat and stable.
Hardware and electronics
Everything on this EXL-7 is built for reliability at high volumes: black hardware, LTD locking tuning machines and a TonePros locking Tune-o-matic bridge with tailpiece keep your tuning firmly in place. The 24 XJ stainless steel frets can withstand intensive use and stay in good condition for a long time. For the sound, there’s a Seymour Duncan Mortal Coil 7 3-Voice Active bridge pickup, controlled via a volume control and a voice selection toggle switch. This lets you switch quickly between different active voicings, ideal for tight rhythms and cutting leads. A matching EXL XL Form Fit case is available, but is not included.
