The ESP LTD SN-1000 combines classic looks with modern electronics. Its wood types are typical for such a model in this price range - alder and maple have been a popular combination for decades, after all. There's more than meets the eye, though - the SN-1000W Maple TSB features three powerful Fishman Fluence pickups. These pickups have two clearly different characteristics: on the one hand, they deliver a warm, yet transparent vintage single-coil sound, on the other hand they offer an overwound Hot Texas sound. Together with the traditional five-way pickup switch, the possibilities are endless.

ESP LTD SN-1000W Rosewood TSB: construction

Play this guitar and you get a familiar, much-loved sound, created by the successful combination of the alder body and the maple neck with a basic 22-fret fretboard. Because the neck is made of maple rather than rosewood, you get a sound with more sparkle and bite. Modern jumbo frets, reliable ESP-LTD tuners, and the Wilkinson tremolo bridge, provide great playing comfort. Together with the three Fishman Fluence pickups, you get a trustworthy construction that produces the kind of LTD sound you expect. What's more, the Fishman Fluence pickups take the LTD to the next level.

PRF-STR-WH1: from warm to hot

Central to these pickups is the Fluence Core, which is responsible for a wonderfully wide range of sounds. You can expect two clearly different sounds from the Fluence Single Width: a warm yet transparent vintage single-coil sound and a more overwound Hot Texas single-coil sound that still manages to maintain the higher frequencies and character we all love. Whether your volume is at 1 or 10, you'll always be able to enjoy clear audio quality. Use a push-pull switch, or something similar, to connect the Fluence pickup so you can easily switch between the two sounds. Fishman Fluence pickups are powered by a 9V battery.
