General

The ESP LTD Volsung is a Signature model by Lars Frederiksen. Despite its more traditional design, this is a high-quality instrument for the modern guitarist. The lightweight mahogany body and Thin U neck profile make it very comfortable to play. The TonePros bridge has been improved over traditional bridges of this type by the so-called 'locking' design. This ensures spotless intonation and facilitates string changes. Special Luminlay fret markers on the side of the neck light up in the dark, allowing you to find your way across the frets even on a dark stage.

Sound and design

The Volsung is fitted with a set of EMG LF-DMF humbuckers, also designed by Lars Frederiksen, so the perfect match for this guitar. These passive pickups have a ceramic magnet for the bridge pickup and an Alnico V magnet for the neck pickup. This provides the optimum balance of tone and articulation for both positions. The neck is made of three-layer laminated mahogany, providing a stable construction that is less sensitive to humidity and temperature. To protect the guitar when you are on the road, it comes with an ESP case as standard.
