Product information

General
The Framus Artist Line Shark Series WH-1 FR is Wolf Hoffmann’s (Accept) signature model and is built as a no-nonsense performance guitar. You get a right-handed 6-string V-shape with a resonant mahogany body and a set-neck construction featuring a flamed maple neck. The 25.5-inch scale length (648 mm) feels tight and responsive, ideal for modern rock and metal. The Solid Overland Grey High Polish finish gives the guitar a stylish, rugged look, whilst the WH-1 2D headstock featuring the Framus logo and Wolf Hoffmann’s signature completes the picture.
Playability and finish
The “Tigerstripe” ebony fingerboard with Mother of Pearl block pyramid inlays is not only beautiful but also built for heavy playing. Thanks to 24 ‘small and high’ stainless steel frets and Invisible Fretwork Technology (IFT) with rounded fret ends, everything feels smooth, from fast riffs to wide vibrato. On stage, you’ll effortlessly keep track of your position with the fluorescent green Luminlay side dots (2.5 mm), even when the lights are almost off. With a 12-inch radius (305 mm), the playing feel is modern and comfortable, with plenty of room for tight rhythm work and lead playing.
Electronics and hardware
In terms of sound, you’re immediately in the right place with the Fishman Fluence Wolf Hoffmann Signature set: a single-coil at the neck and a humbucker at the bridge. The MEC push/pull volume pot lets you switch the humbucker’s ‘Voice’ mapping, whilst the CRL 3-way switch allows you to quickly select your pickup position. For extreme tremolo effects, there’s a Floyd Rose 1000 Series Original Style tremolo, combined with a Floyd Rose 1000 Series R2 locking nut and Grover 502BC locking machine heads. It comes factory-strung with .010–.046 Elixir Optiweb strings and is supplied with a luxury Framus V-bag and accessories.
