General
The Framus Artist Line Shark Series WH-1 TOM is the Wolf Hoffmann signature model that lets you feel the raw Accept power right at your fingertips. This right-handed 6-string V-shape is more than just an eye-catching design: it’s built as a sleek performance machine. It features a resonant mahogany body and a set-neck construction with a flamed maple neck. With a 25.5-inch (648 mm) scale length, it feels responsive and tight. The Solid Overland Grey High Polish finish adds a touch of style, whilst the WH-1 2D headstock features the Framus logo and signature.
Playability and finish
No expense has been spared when it comes to playing comfort. The Tigerstripe ebony fingerboard with Mother of Pearl block pyramid inlays combines a luxurious look with control. You get 24 ‘small and high’ stainless steel frets and Invisible Fretwork Technology (IFT), ensuring the fret ends are perfectly rounded and everything feels smooth during slides, bends and fast legato passages. The 12-inch (305 mm) radius is well suited to modern rhythm and solo playing. Handy for live performances: the fluorescent green Luminlay side dots (2.5 mm) remain clearly visible on dark stages, so you can always keep track of your position.
Electronics and hardware
The Fishman Fluence Wolf Hoffmann Signature set gives you a wide tonal range: a single-coil at the neck and a humbucker at the bridge for tight cleans, cutting riffs and well-defined leads. The MEC push/pull volume pot lets you switch the humbucker’s ‘Voice’ mapping, whilst the CRL 3-way switch allows you to quickly switch between pickup positions. The TonePros Tune-O-Matic Bridge T3BT-B, Graph Tech Black TUSQ XL 6642-00 nut and Grover 502BC locking machine heads ensure tuning stability and sustain. Supplied with Elixir Optiweb strings and a comprehensive set of accessories.
