Line 6 presents the matte-black Variax Shuriken electric guitar, whose name is inspired by the Japanese word for a throwing knife, and whose shape resembles a Ninja star. This electric modelling guitar is equipped with a 27-inch baritone scale length, which means it can be tuned extremely low without sacrificing playing comfort.

This model is the result of a close collaboration between Line 6, Yamaha and guitarist Steve MacKay from the band 12 Foot Ninja. The Shuriken is designed for progressive metal guitarists who want a tight, modern sound. Thanks to the special Line 6 humbucker and innovative Variax HD technology, you'll have a wide range of brutal sounds at your fingertips!

Wrote the following about Line 6 Variax Shuriken Satin Black electric modelling guitar
Dit ligt NIET aan baxshop maar aan line6 zelf. Er zit geen bruikbare variax kabel bij. Daarom is deze gitaar nutteloos om te kunnen gebruiken met bijv. een Helix. Voor een gitaar van deze prijsklasse zou je toch wel deze kabel erbij verwachten. Vervolgens is de levertijd van de kabel ruim 4 maanden.
De gitaar ligt goed in de hand, mooi ontwerp en veel mogelijkheden althans als je de variax kabel zou hebben.
