General

The Line 6 HX Effects stompbox plants the full power and potential of the Helix system directly at your feet. Since this conveniently compact unit comes loaded with the same audio engine as the Helix, up to nine different effects can be used at the same time and over 100 effects are provided, so you can build your tone from the ground up using distortion, delay, reverb, modulation, pitch/synth/filter, compression/limiting, EQ, wah, many of which come in various flavours. This pedalboard-style effects bank also gives you a looper, and the ability to load in your own custom impulse responses (also known as IRs).

The HX Effects: Pure Sonic Quality

To ensure detailed, rich, deep, and remarkably low-noise sound, the HX Effects has an enormous dynamic range of 123dBs, giving every effect a high-grade feel and superbly authentic response that translates into compulsive playability. And since nothing should ever come between you and your carefully shaped tone, the HX Effects comes with a switchable analogue bypass that leaves your signal uncoloured when the unit is switched off.

Smooth Operation

Since this is definitely a Line 6 concept, the ease-of-use is as smooth as it gets. The eight footswitches have been finished with colour-coded LED rings, six of which have a dedicated display, and if you simply touch one of the switches with a fingertip, the quick-adjustable parameters appear on the menu screen. Touch the switch twice, and you can swap assigned effects with ease; hold down any footswitch, and each of the six displays will light up with all corresponding parameters. This highly intuitive interface is fully primed for quick and easy toggling, tweaking, and editing.

Seamless Integration

Integrating the HX into any existing pedalboard or studio rig is as smooth as operating it. This accommodating chunk of hardware gives you a parallel stereo signal path, two assignable FX loops, two expression pedal inputs, and MIDI IN and OUT/THRU. The extensive bank of possible connections lining the back-side of the housing means that the HX can even be added to a keyboard or synth set-up, added to DJ or production gear, or even used as an outboard studio processor. However it's set up, the Line 6 HX Effects wields jaw-dropping sound shaping potential, incredibly high quality, and ingenious flexibility.
