General

The Sterling by Music Man Cory Wong Signature StingRay II is designed for guitarists looking for that recognisable ‘crisp’ attack and definition, but at a more affordable price than the more expensive Music Man version. The alder body feels familiar and resonant, whilst the flamed maple neck with a satin finish plays beautifully fast. With two ceramic humbuckers (HH), you get a versatile sound: from crystal-clear cleans to heavy gain, and thanks to the 3-way switch, you can switch smoothly between tone characters.

Cory Wong signature feel

Cory Wong is best known for his razor-sharp funk rhythms, tight timing and extremely dynamic playing (including with Vulfpeck and as a much sought-after session guitarist). For his signature guitars, he wanted an instrument that responds instantly to your touch, always remains clear in a mix and stays in tune effortlessly on stage. That’s why this StingRay II is fitted with locking tuners and a Sterling vintage tremolo, so you can reliably play both tight rhythm parts and subtle vibratos. The result: a no-nonsense workhorse with Wong’s DNA, but at an accessible price.
