Built to keep you inspired, the Yamaha Pacifica Standard Plus PACS+12M offers wide-ranging sound, a trusty playing feel and highly reliable hardware, making it a more than solid choice for any seasoned professional or green guitarist in need of a quality axe.
The PACS+12M: Reflectone Pickups
The ultra-versatile HSS pickup load-out of this Pacifica Standard Plus model is made up of Reflectone pickups, which have been developed in collaboration with Rupert Neve Designs to guarantee clear, adaptable and dynamic tone. Here, they're teamed up with a 5-way pickup switch and a set of volume and tone pots, including a push/pull tone control so you can split the coils of the bridge humbucker and access even more sounds.
Gotoh Hardware
Carved out of alder, the redesigned ST-style body comes with a snug-feeling, bolt-on maple neck topped with a matching fretboard that's been lined with medium stainless steel frets to take care of great playing comfort. To ensure sublime stability, Yamaha have mounted a two-point Gotoh 510T FE-1 tremolo bridge and a set of Gotoh locking tuners. The revered Japanese guitar-giant even throws in a padded gig bag so you can take your PACS+12M gigging in style and comfort.

Tegenwoordig is het een zeldzaamheid dat een gitaar uit de doos een beetje fatsoenlijk is afgesteld! Ook in deze prijsklasse helaas. Maar deze Pacifica was nagenoeg erg goed afgesteld. De topkam niet te ondiep ingesneden waardoor intoneren vrijwel onmogelijk wordt, niet te diep waardoor je gekletter op de frets krijgt. Gewoon precies goed. Fijne hals. De radius moet je liggen (bijna 14"). Persoonlijk vind ik de radius fijn en is goed bespeelbaar. De elementen zijn erg helder, incl. de humbucker. Dit is overigens met de tone potmeter prima bij te stellen. Maar ik kan me voorstellen dat er ooit eens een andere set pickups geprobeerd gaat worden. Verder prima Gotoh hardware! En niet geheel onbelangrijk: erg mooi ontwerp! Wat mij betreft een prima gitaar! Ik zou het geen Stratocaster-killer willen noemen want het zijn toch net 2 verschillende gitaren. Kunnen prima naast elkaar.
