Product information

General

Torrefied wood sounds as though it has been played for years. By maturing the ovangkol top of the Cort GOLD MC6 Light Burst through a heat treatment process, you get an open, warm tone from the very first note you play – a sound that normally only develops after years of playing. The solid ovangkol sides and back add extra warmth and clarity, whilst the hand-scalloped X-bracing ensures a resonant, dynamic response with exceptionally rich projection.

Playing comfort down to the last detail

Playing the GOLD MC6 feels natural thanks to the Comfort C neck profile, whilst the updated Concert shape ensures that playing standing up is just as comfortable as sitting down. The flat 15.75-inch fingerboard radius makes chord changes and bends smooth across the entire fingerboard, and the satin neck finish feels soft and comfortable to the touch. Makassar ebony on the fingerboard and bridge provide a clear, resonant touch, whilst the bone saddle (and nut) ensure optimal sound transmission!

Ready for the stage and the studio

For live performances where a bit of extra volume is needed, or for studio recordings, Cort has built in the Fishman Flex Blend system. This allows you to easily mix the internal microphone and undersaddle pickup to create a sound you’re happy with. This ensures that the amplified sound of the GOLD MC6 remains true to the acoustic original. Deluxe vintage gold tuning machines keep the tuning stable and add a touch of flair to the premium look. Incidentally, the included Cort Premium Gigbag makes travelling with your guitar a completely hassle-free experience. From chamber concerts to the stage: with the Cort GOLD MC6, you can take rich, mature guitar tones with you wherever you go!
