Featuring an ultra-thinline body, the Sire Larry Carlton G5A electro-acoustic guitar boasts supreme comfort alongside the natural sparkle and depth of a solid spruce soundboard supported by a mahogany back and matching sides. The mahogany neck has a snug C-profile carve, has been bolted on for improved stability and comes topped with a rosewood fretboard that adds a warm accent to the overall tone. For a fully played-in feel, this steel-stringed guitar has also been given the Edgeless treatment, where the fretboard edges have been smoothly rounded off to ease note-navigation.
The Larry Carlton G5A: Steel-Strung Sparkle Without the Feedback
The G5A has been specially designed for stage work, so alongside comfy playability, you're getting clean and clear, full-bodied amplified sound without the unwanted feedback. Plug the pre-fitted Vividx-N preamp and piezo pickup system into an acoustic amplifier or PA, tweak the fitted three-band EQ controls and toggle the phase-switch to sculpt excellent live sound.

Net zoals de nylon-snaren-variant is dit een heerlijke gitaar. Wat ben ik halsoverkop verliefd op beiden. Wat zo fijn is dat per rit die ik wil spelen de equalizer snel bereikbaar is zodat ik die een snelle update kan geven. De Rosewood toets in combinatie met de massief sparren top zorgen zelfs onversterkt voor een prachtig geluid dat ik zelfs uit mijn vroegere Epiphone ES 335 niet kreeg en die was een graadje duurder ...
De C-shaped toets is subliem en de frets mooi afgerond en geveild zodat de bespeelbaarheid niets te wensen over laat. Het enige raadsel dat me blijft bespoken is: " Hoe krijgt men zo een kwaliteitsniveau mogelijk voor deze prijs?" Want de prijs-kwaliteitsverhouding leunt zeer zwaar richting kwaliteit... Petje af. Net als hetzelfde qua mijn Fazley- Western gitaar verbaast me dat elke keer als ik een van drie, de Nylon Sire, de Steel String Sire of de Western Fazley, bespeel... Is Sire net als Fazley ook een huismerk van Bax-shop? Hoe dat kan snap ik niet, maar ik wil nu ook die Gretsch-achtige White Falcon van Sire, want ik ben verslaafd aan dit merk Sire...

Super guitare dont je suis très content. Très belle finition et impeccable.Aucun accrocs ou bavure vraiment top. Un manche agréable et par son corps fin elle est très agréable lors de la prise en main. Pas trop lourd pour la transporter. Son est super.

Une excellente guitare pour les concerts sans être menacé par un Larsen.
La finition est bonne et le manche est très agréable. La table est jolie et je ne vois aucun défaut pour l’instant.
Les points négatifs :
- Les cordes d’origine sont à changer.
- le changement de cordes est un peu compliqué au niveau du sillet (vous penserez à moi au moment de les changer)
- le son sonne un peu piezzo mais avec une pedale de type « bodyrez» ça sonne très bien.
- le preamp embarqué fait le job mais j’aurais souhaité des aiguës un peu plus cliquants… et des basses moins boueuses.
Globalement une très bonne guitare pour le prix !!!
