While undeniably iconic, jumbo-bodied guitars can be beefy, awkward instruments that prove a little less manageable than something like a parlor. To level things out a bit, Guild serve up a slightly slimmer and more comfortable version of a Jumbo in the compact form of the Junior. While it is smaller, this electro-acoustic guitar still packs lush, warm sound and a surprising amount of volume. The scale length has also been trimmed down to 23.75-inches, giving a set of standard gauge strings a lighter, more flexible feel beneath the fret hand. But, install a heavier gauge and you're rewarded with the full sound and tight playing feel of a fully-grown jumbo. Fitted with Guild's own AP-1 pickup system, the sound of this guitar boasts depth and sparkle, whether unplugged or amplified.

The majority of the body - the sides, back, and neck - has been built using high-quality mahogany to set up a solid foundation sound with strong projection and a more-than healthy amount of definition. A solid sitka soundboard tops off the body, lending sweet clarity and shimmer, while the rosewood fretboard adds warmth. The Jumbo Junior simply offers a comfortable, more manageable, and refined playing partner for anyone seeking something a little more compact.
