General

If you love the combination of Sitka spruce and rosewood in a rounded Concert-shaped guitar, Yamaha offers all that and more with the AC1RMkII steel-string electro-acoustic! The harmonious, rich, clear tone is a result of the solid spruce top while the creamy, punchy accents are thanks to the mahogany sides and back. The bridge and fretboard are both made of rosewood and the set-in neck is also made of mahogany. To achieve the look and feel of a worn guitar, the neck has been given a matte lacquer finish for a truly vintage look.

AC1RII: updated original

To keep the best parts of this guitar intact, Yamaha has made sure the basic features of the neck have not been changed. The profile, fretboard radius, string nut width and scale length are all exactly the same as the original AC1R. The MKII part represents the innovative features that have been added to this A series classic. Amplification is done by means of an SRT piëzo pickup and upgraded with a System72 preamp for adjustable mid-range focus and even more control over your amplified sound.
