The Yamaha CPX700II Dusk Sun Red is an electro-acoustic steel-string guitar that makes a reliable partner for the advanced guitarist. Whether you amplify it or not it delivers a warm yet clear sound, and this jumbo-sized steel-string guitar is equipped with a cutaway so you can easily reach the highest fret. The CPX700II DSR is also equipped with a built-in EQ and tuner with display. The beautiful Dusk Sun Red finish features a transparent pickguard, neat bindings and mother-of-pearl inlays that complete this rewarding instrument.

The solid spruce of the CPX700II Dusk Sun Red

The CPX-700II DSR has a jumbo body, meaning the body has broader shoulders and hips than the average guitar. This ensures that the lows resonate better, resulting in a powerful sound with rich bass tones. Because the top is solid wood, you can expect optimal vibrations in the wood which gives the guitar higher volume capabilities. The craftsmen chose a spruce top for a balanced sound, with the addition of nato sides and back add warmth and clarity to the sound.

ART pickups and System64 preamp

Connect the CPX700 II to a mixer or acoustic guitar amplifier and hear how accurately the acoustic sound is amplified. To achieve this, Yamaha mounted an ART pickup directly to the inside of the top, so rather than amplifying dry string sounds it picks up the rich sound from the body. The System64 preamp is responsible for the amplification, and by way of the 3-band EQ and AMP mid-frequency control the musician can control the tone colour in detail.
