The Yamaha LJ16 ARE Natural has an impeccably detailed, open and balanced sound delivered by an all-solid body. This guitar features an incredibly discreet SRT Zero Impact pickup system - a passive system comprised of a small piezo pickup per string that accurately and dynamically reproduce the acoustic sound and playing dynamics. The added bonus here is the lack of hardware cluttering the classic look of this guitar. All you have to do is plug a guitar cable into the jack, connect it to an amplifier, and adjust your sound from there.

Yamaha LJ16 ARE: Engelmann

Wood is the most important factor in an acoustic guitar. Engelmann spruce was used for the top of this guitar - a relatively rare wood type beloved of guitar artisans and musicians for its superbly responsive and open sound. The Engelmann solid top is accompanied by rosewood back and sides, which add tightness and balance to the overall tone while an improved bracing system boosts the low frequencies without sacrificing tonal transparency. The 5-piece neck has been joined as seamlessly as possible for unfettered resonance and is topped with a comfortable 20-fret ebony fingerboard with mother-of-pearl position markers.

Acoustic Resonance Enhancement

Yamaha developed a complex wood treatment to build the LJ16. To mimic the richness of sound produced by matured wood, a fresh piece of Engelmann spruce is treated with a precise cocktail of temperature, air pressure and moisture in order to change the molecular makeup of the wood to age and enhance it. This process of Acoustic Resonance Enhancement means that every LL16 ARE that leaves the factory is immediately endowed with the rich tone of a guitar 20 or 30 years its senior. This outstanding Yamaha has excellent playability and comes with a soft case.

Fantastisch instrument. Heel mooi qua afwerking. De hals ligt heel goed in de hand, de afstelling is zoals het hoort en speelt bijgevolg heel vlot. Mooie volle klank. Ook versterkt komt de klank mooi tot zijn recht. Persoonlijk had ik misschien toch liever een actief element. Vandaar mijn sterretje minder.
