This Yamaha LL6 ARE is an electro-acoustic guitar by Yamaha, with an attractive Dark Tinted finish and a clear, open sound. The top of this beauty is made of solid Engelmann spruce, a relatively rare wood type that is beloved of guitar builders and musicians for its excellent clarity and great dynamic range. Furthermore, the sides and back are made of solid rosewood for tight lows and clear trebles. Finishing touches that really make the look include a tortoise pickguard, mother-of-pearl inlays and gold-plated tuners.

A supple neck is a basic necessity for the serious guitarist. The LL6 ARE features an excellent, newly designed traditional neck made of five pieces of mahogany and rosewood. The headstock, neck and body come together seamlessly thanks to an adjustable truss rod, which offers optimal body resonance. Additionally, the LL6 ARE is equipped with an SRT Zero Impact contact pickup, which is comprised of subtle piezo pickups for each string. There is no additional hardware to take away from the classic look of the guitar. This feature makes the LL6 ARE especially well suited for studio and stage settings - all you have to do is hook it up to an amp and make adjustments to the sound from there. No more hassling with microphone placement and feedback!

Acoustic Resonance Enhancement and Improved Bracing

Yamaha added a big dose of technology to the development of the LL6. By way of Acoustic Resonance Enhancement, a new piece of Engelmann spruce is enhanced to take on the superior sound characteristics of vintage wood. The ARE process involves mixing up a precise cocktail of temperature, air pressure and moisture in order to change the molecular makeup of the wood. This means that the LL6 ARE comes out of the box with the full, rich tone of a vintage guitar, that you'd typically have to wait for years to develop. Finally, this versatile Yamaha guitar comes with a soft case.
