The Roland TD-30KSE Special Edition is quite similar to the popular TD-30K digital drum kit, but has been enhanced in a number of ways. The snare drum of the TD-30K has been replaced by the PD-128S-BC, which cannot only be mounted on a regular snare stand, but also has an improved rim sensor for more accurate registering of rimshots. The PD-128 - which serves as a snare drum for the TD-30K - functions as a second floor tom, so the TD-30KSE boasts a total of four toms. Finally, the original hi-hat has been replaced with the VH-13-MG, which is equipped with an improved motion sensor, resulting in a more natural hi-hat response.
