Red Evolution Preamps

The Red Evolution preamps that Focusrite Pro developed especially for the 4Pre interface assure you of the purest recordings with virtually no noise or distortion affecting the signal from the sound source. The preamplifiers are software-driven and deliver up to 63 dB of gain. On top of that, an effect known as Air recreates the sound of the transformer-based mic preamps in the ISA range. The converters in the Red 4Pre are configured in parallel to lower the noise floor for more accurate audio reproduction and optimal overall sound.

Connectivity

Two Thunderbolt 2 ports provide ultra-fast data transfer with the lowest latency of any Focusrite Pro interface so far. The Thunderbolt ports can also be used to connect your hard disks or monitors.
