The next page in the Solid Stage Logic legend, the SSL 12 USB-C audio interface supplies twelve inputs and eight outputs as well as ADAT and a talkback function. Boasting professional design and built for professional work, this compact interface is the ideal tool for serious at-home producers and recording artists, and when you expand the number of inputs via the optical ADAT port, even full bands are offered a high-level multi-track recording tool. Create multiple and independent headphone mixes, select your loop-back source, and pick one of the tailored modes and twelve presets to fully optimise your workflow.

Iconic 4000 Series Colour Enhancement Sound

The first four analogue inputs are each supported by a Legacy 4K button. Hit it to coat the sound with analogue colour inspired by the legendary 4000 Series SSL console. Basically, when you hit that button, you get as close as possible to the sound of classic albums from the seventies and eighties, giving you mix-ready sound whether you're treating the selectable microphone or line input. The SSL 12 also boasts a superior set of preamps that supply more than enough headroom no matter what you're recording. The same goes for the converters - 32-bit conversion with a dynamic range of 120 decibels - more than enough for the purists.

SSL 360° Software & Unprecedented Routing Options

Coupled with the SSL 360° software suite, you can create independent headphone mixes as well as monitor the input and output signals. Three different modes are also offered so you can match the output to the headphones you're using: Standard, High Sensitivity or High Impedance. And, if you need extra line-level outputs, then you can simply set up the headphone outputs as balanced or unbalanced mono outputs. It doesn't stop there. Via the control panel, a CUT, ALT and TALK button has been fitted for toggling the Dim, Cut, Mono Sum, Alt, Invert Phase Left and Talkback functions, and to finish, a complete production bundle has been thrown in, including virtual instrument, sample and loop libraries - and more.
