In maart 2023 aangeschaft na jaren met plezier gewerkt te hebben met 828 MK2. Een goede upgrade, dacht ik. Wat een drama, geweldige sound dat wel. Maar zeer onstabiel en in mijn setup van Cubase pro 13 en Wavelab met Windows 10 eigenlijk niet te gebruiken. Storing na storing en crashes. Zelfs na contact met helpdesk van Motu in de VS geen oplossing. Werk nu noodgedwongen met Focusrite, die draait als een zonnetje.

Strakke user interface met handige Cuemix waar je effecten kunt toevoegen (compressor, reverb, eq) per inkomend kanaal. très bonne carte à moins de 1000€ malgré un nombre conséquent d'entrées/sorties et de nombreuses fréquences d'échantillonnages jusqu'à 192khz! les drivers sont stables, les pré-amplis des deux prises en façade sont de bonnes qualités et contrairement à certains commentaires, loin d'être métallique ni colorés ! la 828MK3 est ma quatrième cartes de la marque MOTU en 20 ans! j'ai branché en ADAT ma 828mk2 (ancienne génération) avec sans aucun problème ni conflit, je travaille sur Cubase pro 10.5.20 et WIN10 pro. je fais de l'enregistrement live de groupes tout comme des enregistrements emissions web TV en extérieur du home studio. elle ne m'a jamais fait faut bon même en déplacement! je l'utilise également pour la production de titres de styles complètements différents et "ça sonne" à chaque fois! la seule chose que je pourrais reprocher à MOTU c'est l'écran (problème connu chez MOTU) qui perd de lisibilité avec le temps mais ça ne coûte pas cher (-10€) et c'est relativement facile à changer, faut dire que mes cartes sont branchées 24/24 ce qui accélère l'usure malgré ça elles fonctionnent comme au premier jour! bref j'en suis plus que satisfait et je ne peux que recommander ce produit :-)

De reden is de drivers. Ik heb veel problemen gehad met het ding stabiel te doen werken. Ik heb een Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H v1.0 moederbord met de Intel Z77 chipset en blijkbaar zijn daar USB problemen mee.
Aangesloten op Firewire werkte in het begin beter maar dan maakt hij soms ook nog piep geluiden tijdens bijvoorbeeld surfen op het web en tegelijk audio afspelen, en dit met een sample buffer van 512.

Ik heb mijn moederbord dan eens van een volledige upgrade voorzien, bios chipset drivers, USB drivers en zelfs de firmware van de USB hub chips (VIA810). Dit heeft allemaal geholpen en het is veel beter maar nog niet perfect.

Dus is nu natuurlijk het probleem, ligt het aan mijn PC of zijn de drivers van MOTU maar zwakjes? Mijn PC is nu meer dan twee jaar oud, en het is pas sinds de MOTU dat ik ontdekt heb dat er USB problemen zijn met de Intel Z77 chipset. Dat zegt ook al iets natuurlijk. Daarvoor had ik de Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 en die heeft nooit iets verkeerd gedaan.
