General

The Electro-Harmonix Effects Interface Hardware Plugin is specially designed to easily combine your Digital Audio Workstation and effects pedals and other guitar equipment. Thanks to this tray, you can also use your favourite plugins directly from your computer without converters or DI boxes. There are three different modes. Hardware Plugin mode sends signals from your DAW through your pedals as if you were using a plugin. Pedalboard mode lets you turn your favourite effects plugins into physical pedals. In Audio Interface mode, you use this unit as a traditional 2-in/2-out USB audio interface. This versatile device features stereo inputs and outputs with separate volume controls, and also features a headphone output with volume control. A power supply and USB-C cable are included.

Wrote the following about Electro Harmonix Effects Interface Hardware Plugin

Well about a week after receiving and loving the Radial Stereo EXTC reamp box - I became aware of this offering from EHX and I could not resist. Both pedals have their place but this does things very differently.
After a little bit of a learning curve and some excellent tech support from EHX, things were soon up and running with the effects interface and cubase - connected and powered via a single usb cable.
It's amazing for reamping once you've got your head around the tech, very quick to setup and use...
In addition to reamping the effects interface allows you add VST effects to your pedalboard - there is a reasonable amount of latency here as would be expected but it's useable, especially with ambient effects.
