General

Decked out with a USB 3.0 bus, Dante and MADI support as well as a Ravenna module designed by DirectOut, the slimline RME Digiface Ravenna Dante audio interface can be run via USB or in standalone mode. The Word Clock BNC connections can be switched to MADI I/O so that, when combined with MADI, no-less-than 128 channels are put at your disposal. Basically, for anyone looking for a network-based audio solution, this is the very best option available at the moment of writing. On top of the interface, a copy of RME's acclaimed TotalMix FX software also comes included, supporting comprehensive input and output monitoring and routing, and as a nice detail, the headphone output can be switched to a line output to make analogue stereo mix-downs.

The RME Digiface Ravenna: AES67 & ST 2110-30/-31 Support

The Ravenna supports EAS67 and ST 2110-30/31 and audio-over-IP streaming - the perfect platform for distributing a hefty number of audio channels in the studio in real-time. Even when on location without a computer, this unit can serve as a portable sixty-four channel Ravenna/MADI converter. And, since this is a Digiface Series interface, it supplies far-reaching audio channel and routing control, including talkback functionality and remote control via Mackie or the OSC protocol. This means that the interface can be controlled via TotalMix Remote, which is compatible with both Mac and Windows operating systems. Pile on the ultra-stable RME drivers and the fast USB 3.0 connection, and latency-free performance is a given.
