General

The LD Systems STINGER MON 101 A G2 is a 10" active floor monitor that's just slightly more powerful than its little brother in the STINGER Series. Driven by a A/B class amplifier, it peaks at 600 Watts of power and pushes a 150W RMS. Developed as a coaxial speaker, the 101 A G2 features 75° x 75° sound dispersion and a 90 to 20,000 Hz frequency response range. Set it up on a medium to large stage and this floor monitor will feel right at home.

Wrote the following about LD Systems STINGER MON 101 A G2 Active Floor Monitor

Na de aankoop van de LD Systems ICOA 12A set, waar ik zeer tevreden over was, heb ik de set uitgebreid met deze vloermonitor. Aanvankelijk wilde ik de 8 inch versie kopen, maar ik was toch bang voor het mindere geluid. Deze 10 inch vloermonitor van LD Systems is vrij basic. Geen instelmogelijkheden alleen een volumeknop. Om maar met de deur in huis te vallen: ten opzichte van de ICOA 12A is dit niet echt mooi vol. Het kan redelijk hard, maar niet vol en vrij schel. Een gevalletje twijfel dus. Zeer benieuwd of de opvolgers (met DSP standen) wél beter klinkt. Maar die is dan wel weer duurder dan een ICOA 12A, die je ook als (vloer) monitor kunt gebruiken...
