Looking for a good horn to start with as a student? Then Yamaha's YHR-314II might be for you. You can get warm and rich notes from this model and it is well-balanced in terms of intonation across the range, meaning it sounds incredibly pure. This model is made of a brass with a transparent lacquer. The horn is a beautiful instrument both in appearance and sound and can be used in a variety of situations. You might know it in orchestral form, but it can also sometimes be found in pop music. A separately available "E-flat extension" makes it possible to play in E-flat without having to transpose.
