General
This Sela Dark Moon Wind Gong of no less than 32 inches is completely handmade and machined in China, from a specially selected bronze alloy. The flat, rimless design gives the sound more space and clarity than traditional "chau" models. The rough left percussion surface creates a warm, layered tone with subtle resonances, often described as earthy and organic. The gong fits well in therapeutic or meditative situations, but it can also be used musically, for instance in an orchestra or just in sound design where colour and texture are important.
