General

The DiMarzio DP100BC Super Distortion has brought about a sound revolution. Before the invention of the Super Distortion in the early 1970s, pickups were rarely replaced. Because of the unique sound of these humbuckers, many people started rebuilding their guitars to get that overdriven sound too. This pickup works really well to get a nice distortion out of your tube amp.

From jazz-rock to metal

The DiMarzio Super Distortion reproduces a nice balance between power and tone. Both chords and single notes jump out of the amp and fill the room with a wall of sound. The pickup's common shape makes it easy to fit into many guitar models. Well-known guitarists, from jazz-rock to metal, play with these humbuckers in their guitars.
