General
While the DiMarzio DP162 DLX Plus Neck pickup has all the looks of a classic soapbar, this is one meaty dual-coil humbucker. Here, DiMarzio has done everything humanly possible to retain the soapbar vibe, so the mid-range has been dialled right back, the basses have been tightened up a touch and the trebles bring just the right amount of punch. The result is open and clean sound reinforced by a high output, and none of it ever gets too muddy. The DP162 DLX Plus Neck has been set up for solid-bodied electric guitars and works best in the neck position.
