General

With the DiMarzio DP176 True Velvet Bridge, you get a fine vintage-style pickup, specifically designed not to get too shrill above the 12th fret - as many vintage pickups do. DiMarzio achieved this by placing the coils in a perfect sweet spot, where the sound is not too thin, but certainly not too penetrating either. The bridge model of the True Velvet series is just a bit warmer and louder than the neck and middle pickups, making switching between the elements feel very natural. The pickup is very versatile, allowing you to easily switch from musical styles like country, to some heavier blues.
