General

The DiMarzio DP213 PAF Joe guitar pickup is a neck pickup developed in collaboration with Joe Satriani. The pickup is very defined in the low end and certainly not overpowered, while the high end is a lot more present. The combination of these makes for a pickup that has a lot of definition in chords, while loose notes higher up the neck remain warm-sounding and do not become thin. The PAF Joe generally has a bit less output than the PAF Pro, and can be combined well with bridge pickups like the PAF Pro, FRED, Air Norton, The Breed and the Norton. Joe Satriani himself describes the sound as "tubular".
