General
At first glance, the DiMarzio DP222 D Activator X Bridge guitar pickup looks very similar to the X2N pickup, but they do differ. For instance, the D Activator X Bridge is a lot more nuanced in terms of tone, but still very powerful. If you throw the volume down, you even get a surprisingly workable clean sound - even with amps set to setting 11. The pickup is universally designed, making it work in both standard and F-spaced configurations. The high frequencies are thrown wide open by the coil tuning, without sacrificing solid low end and midrange. The D Activator X Bridge works perfectly with the D Activator X Neck model.
