General
Although the DiMarzio DP224 AT-1 guitar pickup was initially designed specifically for guitars with a 25.5-inch scale length, it works perfectly with other types of guitars. The pickup has quite a lot of bass and low-mids, giving guitars that have a bright tonal character of their own just a little more warmth. The AT-1 was designed in collaboration with American guitarist Andy Timmons, where the main focus was to create a somewhat 'hot' sound, particularly suited to rock music styles. Despite the big focus on the low frequencies, this pickup still offers plenty of clarity in the high notes.
