General
With the DiMarzio DP419 Area 67 single coil pickup, you get an element that is a true callback to the original single coils from the year 1967, but with one big difference: no hum! The Area 67 also features an Alnico 2 magnet, instead of an Alnico 5. DiMarzio achieved this by making this single coil very efficient in terms of magnetic field, so there is now less magnet-pull - while the output remains high. This is a big advantage in the neck and middle positions as sustain and intonation remain more intact.
