EMG 81-7 active humbucker for seven-string guitar

As far as modern metal is concerned, the EMG81 is still the standard against which other (active) elements are compared. Nine times out of ten, the EMG81 still comes out best in the test. For seven-string guitars, there is the EMG81-7. Pristine attack, cutting pinched harmonics and tight, defined basses. Its ultra-high output makes it less suitable for subtle work, but of course the metal guitarist doesn't care about that. Turn up the volume all the way for deafening lead parts. If you want tight riffs, just turn down the volume a little.

Installing your EMG cartridge:

EMG's elements are delivered very complete. So there are no unpleasant surprises during installation. For instance, potentiometers for volume and tone control are supplied that are specifically aimed at active elements. These 25k potentiometers are already prepared for the EMG Quik-Connect system, making soldering unnecessary. The included stereo output jack can also be connected without soldering.
