General

Gain the thick and solid sound of Slipknot's Jim Root courtesy of the EMG JR Daemonum Jim Root active pickup set. A formidable upgrade for any HH-configured electric guitar, these pups were developed with Jim's help and combine the design of Retro Active pickups with the very best bits of a classic 81/60 loadout.

The EMG JR "Daemonum" Set: Duality

The neck pickup has been kitted out with ceramic studs that support a defined and percussive sound while the bridge pickup features black steel studs for unprecedented active tone. All of this is fully backed up by a custom Retro Active preamp which, exclusively, has been built-into these EMG Jim Root dual-coils. Couple this set with the right three-way selector switch and it can be easily installed thanks to the neat EMG solderless system.
