Power-up your trusty Strat with the Fender Tex-Mex SSS Pre-Wired pickguard and get treated to that familiar, warm, vintage tone with a sweet touch of bite and an added, brutal edge. Simply solder in the jack, mount your new pickguard, plug it in and pull a little drive out of your amplifier to shape renowned Texax-style sound, or pull the volume back or play through a clean combo, and get classic Alnico-5-driven Stratocaster sound. Since the mid-position single-coil has been reverse-wound to flip the polarity, selector-switch settings 2 and 4 deliver hum-free performance, and the staggered magnet poles of each pickup ensure superb balance across the strings.
