This Seymour Duncan neck humbucker spoons out crystal-clear cleans, full and transparent distortions and singing sustain. All of this is made possible by the original fifties-style specifications, which include an alnico-V magnetic core; an enamelled coil; a baseplate finished with long feet; vintage-grade single-core braided wiring and, to complete the deal, this pup has also been wax-potted to suppress any unwanted feedback. This is the four-conductor edition, so when coupled with the right controls and switches, it fully supports coil-split and phase switching, meaning that the output can be varied from full humbucker sound to sparkling single-coil sound, and it can even put out-of-phase tone in the neck position.
