General
Named after Jeff Beck, whom it was originally designed for, the SH-4 JB is one of Seymour Duncan's most popular high-output humbuckers - and rightfully so. Able to maintain maximum brightness and sparkling treble despite its immense output, the SH-4 adds just the right amount of harmonics, sustain and distortion in the mix and shapes anything from sweetened up, warm bluesy licks to raw, rough-edged heavy metal.
Recommendations
The Seymour Duncan JB is recommended for use in the bridge position and is usually teamed up with a vintage-output neck pickup like the SH-2n Jazz (both are part of the 'Hot Rodded' pickup set) or the SH-1 '59 humbucker. Compared to the SH-14 Custrom 5, the SH-4 JB boasts enhanced treble response, something lots of guitarists like to control using a 250k volume pot. In terms of compatible axes, the SH-4 is great in combination with any warm-sounding model.

Dit element heb ik als combo gekocht met een Jazz van Seymour & Duncan. Eerder had ik dezelfde pickup al eens in een Stratocaster geplaatst, welke op dit moment mijn main gitaar is als ik met de band speel. Nu heb ik dit setje dus ook in een andere gitaar gezet; een PRS SE Custom 24. Een prachtige upgrade. De PRS komt nu meer in de richting van een les Paul type gitaar en daar was ik naar op zoek.
Ik speel voornamelijk rock/ vuige blues.
Kortom een mooi element (sound en looks) en goede service van Bax.
