General
Intended for the neck position, this Seymour Duncan SH-8n Invader 8-String Neck stands as a more restrained variant of the SH-8b 8-String Bridge. This makes this 8-string neck pickup the ideal partner for the famous also lively high-gain bridge humbucker for in your 8-string electric guitar. Whereas the dual-coil bridge pickup has a sound that can be described as brutal, loud and particularly brutal, this neck version is a bit more modest in terms of sound, and this ceramic pickup gives your notes and chords a fine warmth. Besides these rounded sounds, you can also enjoy extra sustain and a nice thick distorted edge with more distortion. This makes this Invader 8-String Neck, in addition to its matching rugged looks, also a perfect complement to the high output bridge humbucker for your 8-string. The 4-wire cable also makes the Seymour Duncan SH-8n suitable for a coil-split circuit or perhaps even a parallel connection.
