General

The D'Addario NYXL1074 is a so-called hybrid set. This 'Light Top Heavy Bottom' string set combines the high strings of a regular .010 set with extra-thick low strings. The result is an incredibly powerful low end for heavy chords, while the high strings have enough flexibility for extreme bends. This set is optimised for 8-string guitars with a 27-inch scale. The longer string length gives the strings more tension, making them feel nice and tight. Perfect for heavier work and fast solos.

D'Addario NYXL strings: strong and stable

With these New York-made NYXL electric guitar strings, D'Addario brings a true revolution. A new manufacturing process using high-carbon steel has been developed for these strings. This makes them 20-40% stronger than strings of similar thickness. This means you can press them further without them breaking. In addition, they stay in tune 131% better, so that you spend less time stretching and tuning and can start playing guitar immediately. The strings come in eco-friendly, corrosion-resistant packaging, which benefits both the life of the strings and our planet.
