General

Specially calibrated to support ultra-low C-tuning, the D'Addario NYXL1260 strings are any metal guitarists dream. Bands like Arch Enemy and System of a Down often tune all the way down to C, and even Hendrix dabbled with the low-C tuning on Hear My Train A' Comin. While experimenting with different tunings can break playing habits and inspire a new approach, if you're working with a set of lower-gauged strings, then you're likely to be fighting with loose and sloppy string tension and horrible fret buzz. As such, D'Addario have made sure that this Extra Heavy pack retains a tight feel as well as thick, forceful tone.

D'Addario NYXL Strings: Strong & Stable

Since these strings have been given the full NYXL treatment, you're assured of a reliable set that's been made in New York from the ground up. Due to a game-changing production process, the high-carbon steel cores of these strings is 20% to 40% stronger than your average strings to result in reduced breakage, extreme resistance to string-bends, and an incredible 131% rise in tuning stability.
