More concretely, this means that the B-string is slightly thicker, while the D and A strings are slightly thinner when compared to a standard pack of electric guitar strings. As a result, you're offered more control over the dynamics and subtlety of your sound.
The D'Addario NYXL: The Perfect Combo of Comfort and Tone
The NYXL strings from D'Addario are produced in New York using an entirely fresh production technique that has since revolutionised the modest electric guitar string. The high carbon steel that has been used is 20 to 40% stronger than strings of a comparable gauge, giving these strings a much longer life-span and less fear of snapping when the tension is shifted between tunings. This strength also raises the overall tuning stability by an incredible 131% and makes tuning in general a much quicker process.

Pour ceux qui hésitent encore à faire le pas...
Je suis étudiant, l'argent n'est jamais jeté par les fenêtres. Mais je suis aussi guitariste à la sueur corrosive, radioactive : les douces Ernie ball ne résistant pas à une session studio (5/6h), les D'addario EXL étaient mon standard jusqu'à aujourd'hui pour leur bas coût.
Ces NYXL changent la donne, elles conservent leur brillance 3 à 4 fois plus longtemps, résistent enfin à mes tirés de cordes indécents et offrent une bien meilleure stabilité d'accordage (je ne suis pas payé pour faire cette publicité).
En studio ou sur scène, ces cordes apportent ce mordant et cette fiabilité qui manquait.
