General

Thanks to their signature warm guitar tone, the original Greenback guitar speakers have been considered the gold standard since the sixties. The smaller sister of the legend that is the G12 Greenback, the 30 Watt Celestion G10 Greenback is built to deliver the same loud and organic yet growling and warm sound, but does it all with the directness of a 10 inch speaker. The History of the G10 Greenback

Way back when, Celestion introduced one of the very first real guitar speaker cabinets: the Celestion Blue. The lush, sparkling sound of this Alnico-based speaker is as popular today as it was back then, and would mark the beginning of the Celestion legend which would grow to include the Greenback: the first Celestion-designed speaker to feature a ceramic magnet. This model still had that organic Alnico sound, but was more compact, boasted a higher power output and bore its own uniquely characteristic tonal warmth.

Wat een top speaker in vergelijking met de DSL5C stockspeaker.
Mijn DSL5 heb ik vorig jaar gepimpt met een MXR EQ pedaal, dit hielp ontzettend goed.
Dankzij een youtube kanaal kwam ik op het idee om de basis van de versterker aan te passen, door het vervangen van de speaker. Wow, wat een verschil is dit! Veel meer gedefinieerd en gebalanceerd geluid. Het EQ op de versterker geeft veel meer hoorbaar verschil, wat voor mij inhoudt dat de stockspeaker ontzettend vlak is ontwikkeld. Het is een compleet nieuwe ervaring.

Gekocht ter vervanging van de stock speaker van mijn Vox AC4TV. Tegelijk de buizen vervangen door een set van JJ. Ik ben tevreden met het resultaat. Ik heb meer detail en het effect van mijn tone knop op mijn Tele is veel duidelijker hoorbaar.

Heb deze Greenback (made in UK) besteld om hem als upgrade in een Marshall DSL5C te zetten asl vervanging van de stock speaker. Fijne speaker, in vijf minuten geplaatst, hoorbaar ander karakter dan de stock speaker, tilt de amp net naar een wat beter niveau. Aanrader!

Voor mijn oude buizenbak setje 10 inch 16Ohm Celestion Greenbacks besteld. Werden sneller geleverd dan was aangegeven op de site, dus dat was ook nog eens prettig.
Monteren was fluitje van een cent, dus even op laag volume inspelen en daarna gas er op. Lekker strakke sound en definitie. Goede prijs/ kwaliteit verhouding.Kon ze nergens anders zo scherp geprijsd vinden. Geen "chinarommel".
