General

Applied Accoustics Systems (AAS) has created a comprehensive but mostly accurate virtual analogue softsynth with Ultra Analog VA-3. It simulates what happens in analogue circuits, resulting in a convincing and warm sound. This is a substractive synthesiser with two oscillators, filter and the usual envelopes and LFOs. The effects section is so extensive that you can safely consider these effects to have a profound effect on the sound. The new "home view" is a godsend for users who want to very roughly adjust a sound without first knowing how the synth works. With some high-level functions, you adjust the sound in a way that is very practical in the production process. Among several other novelties, the sounds of VA-2 are also included again, which are hundreds of sounds in addition to the hundreds of new sounds. In other words, even if you don't want to know anything about sound design, you still get a hefty bucket of sounds that you can easily tweak with the "home view".
