Without doubt one of the most revered synths from the Roland canon, the Jupiter-8 has all the cool of an eighties design, all the complexity of a fully rammed control panel, and above all - enormous, thick and juicy sound. Back in the day, if you were a professional and had the money, you might have been able to get your hands on one - because the OG JP-8 certainly wasn't cheap. Thankfully, the eighties have long since passed, and now the world at large is treated to a fully fledged virtual edition courtesy of the Roland Cloud. Load up a slice of the legend in your own DAW and start twiddling knobs, and since this is the only official Roland version, you're 100% assured of the same sweet, fat and satisfyingly flexible sound that you'd get out of an eighties-built antique.
