From Roland, there were two well-known series of synthesisers in the 1980s: the Jupiter and the Juno. The Jupiters for producers with large sums of money, the Junos for starters with a bit less money. At that time, however, there was another series, one that is often forgotten: the JX, which is a bit in between the Juno and the Jupiter in terms of sound possibilities. The JX went along with the trend of replacing physical sliders with buttons and menus, and that may be why this series is somewhat 'overlooked'. Nevertheless: the first in the JX series is now here in virtual form, in the Roland Cloud JX-3P. This version is authentic, and the only one that can truly be called official, as the software is from Roland. For a small fee, you can now discover with ease in your DAW why this JX stood out above the Junos!
