Roland's JVs and XVs are real "bread 'n butter" machines, i.e. synths with a huge laundry list of generally useful sounds. Think pianos, strings, horns, guitars, synths. You could expand said series with sound expansions back then, and those expansions are now available as plug-ins for your DAW! Besides the various specific themes, there was also a general expansion at the time: Studio. Simply put, these are even more "bread 'n butter" sounds, so Roland Cloud SRX Studio is yet another motley collection of sounds in the familiar Roland style.
