The sleek form of the PSR Series Yamaha PSR-E373 61-note keyboard is bulging with so much functionality, you're left wondering where it all fits. The relatively inexpensive price is just as shocking, since this is still a keyboard designed for beginners - albeit serious beginners. So, they can get to grips with their first chords and scales with the mass of options and features on offer, including the ability to connect this keyboard to your computer and incredible sound.
The Sound of the Yamaha PSR-E373
The first priority of any good keyboard has been well taken care of in the development of this PSR model. So, you get 622 sounds and Super Articulation Lite Voices which include extensive recordings of instruments and enhanced instrument recordings that take up a lot of memory and usually push up the price. Effects have also been provided, so that you no longer have to put up with playing a 'guitar with distortion' sound, but can load up a 'guitar' sound and then add some 'distortion' as a separate effect. While this might seem like a subtle difference, in practice, the effect is massive.
Added Extras
Of course, this is a keyboard, so you also get a generous selection of rhythms to choose from, and with a polyphony of 48, your chords will sound rich and complete, even when using backing. Connect it to a computer using a USB cable (not included) and this keyboard even functions as an audio interface so you can record directly in. So that your experience really is complete, even a music rest comes fitted.

I received my Yamaha PSR E373 keyboard a week ago and I’m really pleased with it. I am a beginner and did some research beforehand on which keyboard to buy and this was the best price I found. It came on the day the website said it would. It sounds really good quality and there is so much to explore on it in terms of sounds, style and how it works. I’m planning on purchasing on an app for my iPad which I can prop up on the music stand that comes with the keyboard to help me learn to play. I was cautious about such a big investment as a beginner but I feel very excited now I’ve received it.

Prima keyboard om muziek te leren spelen. Zitten alle benodigdheden op die je als startende keyboard speler benodigd hebt. Echt een aanrader, echter niet mee leverbaar, dus is zijn opvolger 473 zeker een aanrader voor de beginnende keyboard speler.

Over alle mogelijkheden van dit instrument kan ik nog weinig zeggen, omdat het er zeer veel zijn en ik er na een week maar een paar heb uitgeprobeerd. Het is een beetje een zoektocht, zowel naar de mogelijkheden als ook welke knoppen je voor wat moet indrukken. Ik vergelijk het maar met mijn smart watch die twintig keer meer mogelijkheden heeft dan ik gebruik. Uiteindelijk wordt je er steeds handiger in. Het geluid evenwel, valt me tegen. De video van Bax over dit key board laat een veel beter geluid horen dan ik uit de minispeakertjes van de Yamaha krijg. Ik ga het ding dus aansluiten op een externe speaker en overweeg om een keyboard versterker aan te schaffen. De Yamaha speelt overigens wel fijn en er is zelfs een zekere aanslaggevoeligheid ingebouwd. Ik heb deze Yamaha gekocht nadat ik de Fazley FKB 180 naar Bax heb teruggestuurd omdat dit keyboard (€122) eigenlijk niet verkocht zou mogen worden door een zichzelf respecterende muziekwinkel.

De Yamaha PSR-E373 is een prima keyboard met goed geluid. De Nederlands handleiding moet je wel van het internet plukken. Het bijgeleverde boekje in 5 buitenlandse talen is dus totaal overbodig. De levering door Bax Music was correct. Al met al toch 5 sterren.

Dit keyboard is een leuk, leerzaam en veelzijdig instrument. Zoveel klanken om uit te kiezen, en evenzoveel soorten settingen. Een aanrader is om goed naar tuturials op YouTube te kijken die je stapsgewijs bekend maken met dit keyboard. De prijs is dit keyboard het meer dan waard.

Ik vind de Yamaha E 373 een fantastisch instrument. Er zitten 622 stemmen op. Je kunt er bijvoorbeeld fluit, mondharmonica of piano mee spelen. Maar ik vind het pijporgel het mooiste. Het is altijd mijn droom geweest ongehinderd ergens in een kerk op het orgel te kunnen spelen. Niet dat ik dat kan. Heel lang geleden heb ik op een harmonium leren spelen. Nu doe ik alles over op deze Yamaha. Koralen, Bach en nog veel meer. En ik leer elke dag. Ik heb bladmuziek opgezocht en bestudeer hoe je iets moet spelen. Je kunt dat doen met de koptelefoon op en als iets echt lukt kun je dat opnemen. Wat een ervaring. Achteraf zeg ik dat ik dit zeker tien jaar eerder had moeten doen.
