The keytar has been around for decades and this model takes the best of the past and combines it with feedback from today's highly-demanding professional musicians to create the ultimate performance synthesizer. The AX-Edge has a modern design with 49 keys and the sounds, specially developed for keytarists, give you full creative freedom to make your performances truly memorable.
AX-Edge: Modern keytar
The presets in the Roland AX-Edge ensure your sounds will be heard in even the loudest of bands. Among more than 500 sounds, you'll find everything you need for edgy leads, thick basslines and more. There's also space for you store sounds of your own. Via Bluetooth MIDI, you can even make adjustments wirelessly. There's a master compressor and EQ on board too so that you can enjoy studio-quality sounds when you're playing on stage.
Always in control
One of the biggest advantages of playing a keytar instead of a standard keyboard or synth is the freedom it gives you to move around on stage. Roland has taken care, therefore, to ensure that the controls on the AX-Edge are easily accessible. Most of the controls are assignable too so that you can choose where you want to have the ones you use most. There's also a modulation bar, a touch-sensitive ribbon controller and other easily accessible controls including an octave switch and program change.
